Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back will open in 3,780 theaters this weekend, per Paramount’s Thursday morning announcement. That’s well ahead of their estimate of 3,500 this time last week, and points towards a solid opening for the film. Ouija: Origin of Evil is set for 3,168 locations, and will be the second-widest new release, according to what we’ve heard so far. Keeping Up with the Joneses will launch in 3,022 venues—about in line with what Masterminds debuted with a few weeks ago. Lionsgate has Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween coming out this weekend in 2,260, and have a shot at topping the chart with the film.

Next weekend, we just have one wide release: Inferno. Sony has that pegged at opening in about 3,400 theaters, and we can expect that number to grow by this time next week.
