Movie Website Updates for November 18 - November 24, 2006

This week the list is abridged due to the holidays, but there are still a few good sites here. In fact, percent-wise, there are more good site than most weeks. However, the best site has already won the award while the rest don't quite reach the level of an Award-winning site. If I were to pick the best of the rest it would be Dhoom 2: Back in Action - Official Site.

This site is just average. The usual features are here as well as a few, minor extras. But there's nothing about it that really makes it stand out.
Another good site with all of the usual features. However, the heart of the site are the video clips, which include the teaser trailer, full trailer, two TV spots, and seven clips from the movie. On the other hand, the site feels smaller than it actually is.
This is actually the URL for the studio site, but in just two clicks you can get to the movie site, which is really well done. All the usual features are here, (synopsis, cast & crew bios, image gallery, trailers), with a heavy emphasis on the music. (This is not surprising since the film is from India.
All the usual features are here along with a section called Experience. It's a semi-interactive feature that will probably intrigue many surfers, but it just left me cold.
Another good site with all of the usual features, (synopsis, cast & crew bios, image gallery, and trailer). Extras include information on the play, the soundtrack but the best features are the video clips. Instead of getting clips from the movie, there are an interview and several behind-the-scenes clips that are very entertaining. I did have a problem with the audio clips that accompanied the sections as many were too quite or too muffled to hear.
Just a quick note that there's a new contest on the site where you can react the past and win $2500.
I still love the intro to this site. Probably the best I've ever seen. I especially like how the content for the intro was made specifically for the site, I appreciate the effort that takes as opposed to just cutting in a series of clips. The rest of the site is also top-notch with everything a site needs, (synopsis, cast & crew bios, image gallery, and trailer). Extras include nearly a dozen video clips, a few interactive features, (including my favorite, As*trology), as well as some sound and animation. Overall a great site and one that easily deserved the Award-Winning status.

In addition, each section has its own short clip from the movie, however, this is also a detraction since it takes way too long to load each section and there's some instability with the site.
