This bodes well for its opening in France, which happens this week, while it closes out its international run in Japan in October.
  • The first of the localized High School Musical spin-offs, El Desafio, opened in Mexico over the weekend. There is placed first with $1.85 million on 361 screens, which was double its nearest competition and enough for 24th place internationally.

  • The Strangers plummeted more than 10 spots falling to 29th place with $1.62 million on 451 screens in 9 markets for a total of $11.97 million.
