Movie Website Reviews for the Weekend of January 9th, 2009

January 10, 2009

Not much in terms of websites this week, in fact, half of the new releases do not even have websites, or their website is not working. The best of what's left was Bride Wars's Official Site, which is good, but not great, and not award worthy.

After Dark's Horrorfest III - Official Site
There's a lot of information on this site, but that's because there are 8 films to talk about. Each film has the synopsis, bios, image gallery, and trailer, which adds up to a lot of information in total, but since no one film gets a lot of attention, the site is not as effective as it could be. There's also information on the Miss Horrorfest 2009, a model that goes by the name Mistress Malice, as well as some information on the overall film festival.

Bride Wars - Official Site
All of the usual features are here including the synopsis, bios, image gallery, and trailer. Extras include a personality quiz (I'm Emma), a Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots-like game. Add in a few smaller bits, audio clips, etc., and it is the best site this week. That said, it is not an award-worthy site.

Lady MacBeth of Mtsensk District - No Official Site
Nothing to review.

Made in U.S.A. - No Official Site
Another movie with no official site.

Not Easily Broken - Official Site
All the usual features are here, plus a few clips from the movie. However, there's nothing that makes the site stand out.

The Unborn - Official Site
Loading... And that's it. Don't know if it is a problem on their end, or mine; however, I can't review what I can't see.

Yonkers Joe - No Official Site
Not a good week for websites for limited releases.
