DVD Rentals - People Into Gran Torino

Gran Torino led all new releases and the rest of the DVDs on the rental chart with nearly two-and-a-half times the revenue of second place rental, He's Just Not That Into You.
Just a few percentage points behind was The International, which opened in third place. Defiance slipped to fourth place while Paul Blart - Mall Cop rounded out the top five.
There were two other new releases to chart this week, both of which placed in the top ten. These were Crossing Over in sixth place while eighth place went to Fired Up!
Total rentals climbed a little bit, 2%, from last week to $141.7 million.
More importantly, that was 9.7% higher than the same weekend last year, stretching 2009's winning streak to eight weeks.
