Annabelle rose from fifth to first place on the international market with $26.5 million in 62 markets for an international total of $126.7 million after a month of release. Obviously there will be another installment in this franchise. This past weekend, the film dominated Latin America earning first place in Mexico with $7.61 million on 2,742 screens over the weekend for a total opening of $10.87 million. This was double the original film's opening in that market. The film also earned top spot in Argentina ($1.4 million on 202 screens) and in Peru ($1.3 million). The film was pushed into second place in Brazil, but still managed $2.13 million on 388 screens over the weekend for a three-week total of $11.35 million.

Lucy hit another milestone topping $300 million internationally earning $19.6 million in 41 markets for totals of $308.5 million internationally and $434.9 million worldwide. Of this, $20.02 came from its opening in China, but that includes midweek numbers. This is the last major market for the film, so this could be the last major milestone. That said, it has earned twice as much as most people were expecting.

Gone Girl also hit a major milestone reaching the century mark very early in the weekend. Over the weekend, the film pulled in $18.9 million in 59 markets for totals of $118.8 million internationally and $242.8 million worldwide. It is now the third biggest hit of David Fincher's career, behind just Se7en and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Its biggest opening of the weekend was in South Korea where the film earned first place with $3.31 million on 653 screens over the weekend for a total opening of $3.81 million.

Dracula Untold was the fourth film to reach a major milestone, as it crossed the $100 million mark just before the weekend. Over the weekend, it earned fourth place with $14.9 million in 59 markets for a four-week total of $117.73 million. The film earned first place in both Brazil ($2.93 million on 511 screens) and in Spain ($1.84 million on 368).

The Maze Runner remained in sixth place with $12.9 million in 47 markets for totals of $179.5 million internationally and $273.6 million worldwide. The film had no major market openings over the weekend, but it rose to first place in France with $5.20 million on 456 screens over the weekend for a two-week total of $12.59 million after two weeks of release.

Fury made its international debut in sixth place with $11.71 million in 15 markets over the weekend for a total opening of $15.17 million. It earned first place in the U.K. with $3.19 million on 709 screens over the weekend for a total opening of $4.31 million. It also earned first place in Australia with $2.29 million on 336 screens. On the other hand, it only managed fifth place in France with $2.14 million on 415 screens.

Hercules returned to the chart in seventh place with $10.9 million in 2 markets for totals of $165.5 million internationally and $238.2 million worldwide. Of this, $10.82 million was earned during its third place debut in China, but that was a six-day opening. Meanwhile, it placed second in Japan with $964,000 on 653 screens over the weekend for a total opening of $1.28 million. It should reach the $250 million market on the worldwide stage, perhaps as early as this time next week. That's enough to predict it will break even sometime on the home market.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was right behind with $10.8 million in 32 markets for totals of $201.9 million internationally and $392.0 million worldwide. The film had no major market openings, but it remained in third place in France with $3.86 million on 664 screens over the weekend for a two-week total of $10.26 million. The film will cross $400 million worldwide, which is enough to break even, assuming the global P&A budget wasn't outrageously high.

Guardians of the Galaxy fell from first to ninth place on the international chart with $10.3 million in 11 markets for totals of $424.0 million internationally and $752.7 million worldwide. The film earned $17.82 million in China, but that was for the full week, while its running tally rose to $88.04 million after three weeks of release. The film is now the third biggest release in the Avengers franchise. I don't think many people were predicting that would happen.

The Book of Life rounded out the top ten with $8.2 million in 25 markets for a two-week total of $18.4 million. The film only managed fourth place in the U.K. with $1.58 million on 536 screens, while it bombed in France earning tenth place with $1.06 million on 318 screens. On the other hand, the film is becoming a hit in Mexico adding $2.34 million on 1,444 screens over the weekend to its running tally, which now sits at $6.92 million.
