Dora the Explorer: Dora's Easter Collection - Buy from Amazon

The latest Dora the Explorer DVD to arrive here is actually a box set containing two DVD: Dora's Easter Adventure and Dora's Egg Hunt. I previously reviewed Dora's Easter Adventure, so there's no need to talk about it again, but what episodes are on Dora's Egg Hunt and is the combined box set worth the money?

The Show

  1. Egg Hunt
Dora and Boots are going on a special egg hunt. Her mother has hidden Easter Eggs with prizes in them, and the biggest prize is in the Big Yellow Egg. Of course, Dora and her friends are not the only ones who want those eggs. Swiper the Fox is going to try hard to get them.
  2. El Dia de las Madres
This episode was the first on Nickelodeon Favorites: Food With Friends, which I previously reviewed.
  3. Dora, La Musico
This episode has been released multiple times and I've previously reviewed it at least twice. Cutting and pasting the review a third time seems unnecessary.
  4. Pablo's Flute
Dora and Boots read a book about a magic flute called Pablo's Flute. Pablo lived on a little farm with his grandfather. They worked hard on their farm, but the land wasn't very good, so the plants didn't grow and the animals were sad. Pablo's grandfather made Pablo a magic flute and when he played it, the plants grew and the animals danced. It is great, until a giant storm blew the flute away and the farm went into decline. Dora and Boots decide to find Pablo's Flute and return it to him.

The Extras

There is a spot the Easter Egg game and two short clips from Wonderpets.

The Verdict

If you were to buy the two DVDs found in Dora the Explorer: Dora's Easter Collection they would cost $18 compared to $15 for the box set. If you don't have any of them, then it is worth the price, but there are double-dips within the box set, so that affects the price further.
