The second Halloween related release of the week, Nick Jr Favorites: Happy Halloween is the latest in a long line of compilation releases for Nick Jr, the Nickelodeon spin-off channel designed for Preschoolers. There are episodes from six Nick Jr shows, starting with...
There are no extras on the DVD.
Happy Halloween is the latest Nick Jr Favorites DVD to come out, and while there are no extras, six episodes for just $13 is a lot better than a lot preschool DVD releases. If your kids are fans of these shows, it is worth picking up, even if it is way too early for Halloween.
The Show
It's Halloween and Dora and Boots are in their costumes. (She's a cat, while he's a fire-fighting chicken.) They meet a monster who is also trick or treating. He's having a lot of fun, but he needs to get home before midnight, because he has a curfew. Dora and Boots have to help him get home.
The big Halloween party might be in trouble because the bridge is out and the Llamas can't get across to gorge to deliver the Halloween candy. This is a job for Diego, but it's going to be difficult, because it is too dark to travel and he doesn't have a lot of time before the party will start. Fortunately, he has the help of Freddie the Fruit Bat, and you, to help him get to the Llamas in time.
There's a bat stuck in a bell tower because it is too scared of the dark to get out. First of all... A bat that scared of the dark? Secondly, bat in the bellfry? Very funny.
A famous donkey actor needs help preparing for a play he is doing. He can't figure out what costume to wear for the play.
This show doesn't really have a plot, but in this episode they sing songs about Halloween and fall in general. They dress up in costumes, go trick or treating, and then eat candy till they get sick. Awesome.
Blue is hiding under a blanket, but Steve can't figure out why. So we have to play Blue's Clues to find out.
Kai-Lan and her friends are going trick or treating. (Any guesses what Tolee is dressed as? His panda obsession could be classified as a mental disorder.) But when Rintoo sprains his ankle, he can't go trick or treating with his friends. Can Ye-Ye help save Halloween for Rintoo? The Extras
