Synopsis

Unit 7 consists of four officers on a tough mission: ridding the city of the most notorious drug trafficking networks and putting an end to the oppressive power that rules the streets. It is set in Seville, Spain, during the preparations leading up to the 1992 World Exposition, as the city's drug problem is spiraling out of control. The four-man team is led by Ángel, a young cop with aspirations of being a detective. His partner is Rafael, an angry, violent but skilled cop. Their modus operandi, however, is to operate outside the boundaries of the law, using any means necessary - including violence, coercion and lies - to accomplish their mission. They sell dope in exchange for money and information, building up both their bank accounts...and their arrest records. As they move ahead with their mission, Ángel and Rafael begin to part ways. Ángel becomes increasingly ambitious and reckless in his abuse of power to achieve his goals, but Rafael begins to change his ways after he meets the beautiful, enigmatic Lucia. Before long, the renegade cops of Unit 7 become local celebrities and come to represent a new tough-on-crime era in Seville. But their unconventional and brutal approach draws unwanted attention from the press, as well as from the local drug lords, who secretly plot their revenge.
