Keep On Keepin' On poster

Keep On Keepin' On had the best weekend of its run earning an average of $13,291 in two theaters. Gone Girl earned an average of $12,446 in just over 3,000 theaters. Annabelle was very close behind with an average of $11,659 in close to 3,200 theaters.

The best of the new limited releases was The Blue Room earned an average of $7,270 in three theaters. It was the only limited release we have numbers for that did well. Haider opened in more than 100 theaters earning an average of $4,617, which isn't bad. Men, Women, and Children struggled with an average of $2,825. There were three films that missed the Mendoza Line. The Good Lie clearly opened in too many theaters earning an average of just $1,825 in 461. Libertador only managed an average of $921 in 76 theaters. The Hero of Color City was even worse with an average of $352 in 69 theaters.

This past week also saw milestones reached for a few Per Theater Chart alumni:

  • The Remaining just got to $1 million over the weekend, but that's as far as it will go.
  • Khoobsurat reached $1 million just before the weekend, but it too will not get any further.
  • Love is Strange topped $2 million over the weekend, but that's likely as far as it will go. Still, $2 million is good for a limited release.
  • The Skeleton Twins cracked $3 million over the weekend. By this time next week, it will be over $4 million, while $5 million remains possible.
