Bubble Guppies: Sunny Days! - Buy from Amazon

Bubble Guppies is a animated sketch comedy show for preschoolers that focuses on a school of merfolk. Each episode has a subject, but no real plot. There are a number of short skits, including several recurring bits. What episodes are including on this DVD? And is there enough value here to be worth picking up?

The Show

  1. The Beach Ball!
The Bubble Guppies go to the beach ball... at the beach... underwater. My I guess is SpongeBob can do that, so they can. They meet Sandy, who wants to win the dance competition, but her sisters are making Sandy do all of the work at the coconut shop by herself, so she won't be able to go. This episode actually has a plot. Most of them are just the kids learning about the subject through a number of short skits.
  2. The Legend of Pinkfoot!
Deema meets a group of Crab Scouts who are camping. They tell Deema about the Legend of Pinkfoot! Now Deema wants to go camping as well and when she tells the rest of the class, they want to go camping as well.
  3. Bring on the Bugs!
Molly and Gil see a spider building a web and that gets them thinking about bugs. And before you freak out, they do explain the difference between spiders and insects.
  4. The Sizzling Scampinis!
Molly and Gil see the Bubble Brothers Very Popular Big Top Circus and like every other kid their age, they want to join, as do the rest of their class.
  5. Bubble Duckies!
Molly and Gil see a mommy duck teaching its ducklings how to fly, but one of the ducks is too small to fly. The class then learns about all types of birds.
  6. Gup, Gup and Away!
Molly and Gil meet a pilot and the class learns about flying.

The Extras

There are no extras on the DVD.

The Verdict

Bubble Guppies is a fun show with very catchy music. There are no extras on, Sunny Days!, but the price-per-minute is still great compared to a lot of similar TV on DVD releases.
