Can't Touch the Duchess on the Per Theater Averages

The Duchess of Langeais was the number one film on the per theater chart this week, earning an average of $11,126 in two theaters while Oscar-winner The Counterfeiters earned an average of $10,939 in 8 theaters.

There were only three other new limited releases and none of them came close to $10,000. Cover was the best of the rest at just $2,143, which is just above the Mendoza line. On the other hand, The Signal couldn't crack $1,000, earning just $905 while Genghis Khan: To the Ends of the Earth and Sea missed the $100 mark with a mere $83 per theater.
