Potter Tops the Per Theatre Charts

November 22, 2005

The overall box office champ, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was also the leader of the Per Theatre Charts with an amazing $26,525 in 3,858 theatres. There were only two other films in the $10,000 club and they were Classe Tous Risques at $11,945 and Breakfast on Pluto at $11,093; the latter result is even more impressive since it was a Wednesday release.

This past week also saw milestones reached for a couple of Per Theatre Charts alumni:

  • G was able to reach $3 million during its run, barely.
  • Pride & Prejudice may have just missed the $10,000 per theatre mark, but that didn't stop it from hitting $5 million over the weekend. It is expanding to just over 1,000 theatres this week, so it will be interesting to see how well it holds up.
  • Good Luck and Good Luck made it past the $15 million mid-week, and, while it has peaked at the box office, it should still reach another milestone or two.
