Star Wars: The Last Jedi

We’ve been tracking Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s international numbers since it debuted, so there’s not a lot to talk about here. The film earned $75.1 million over the weekend for totals of $380.3 million internationally and $748.5 million worldwide. The film has yet to open in China, so this is not a complete picture of its box office strength.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle opened in second place with $49.5 million in 53 markets for a worldwide total of $100.1 million. Unfortunately, the film is released by Sony and they are closed until the new year, so we don’t have any information from them.

The rest of the top five were all films from China. Youth remained in in first place in its native China with $38.70 million over the weekend for a two-week total of $126.37 million.

Legend Of The Demon Cat debuted in second place with $37.08 million.

Bleeding Steel opened in third place with $29.87 million over the weekend for a total opening of $30.24 million.

The Liquidator missed the top five internationally, but still did well enough to be worth mentioning, earning $21.41 over the weekend in China for a total opening of $22.17 million.

Along With The Gods: The Two Worlds earned first place in its native South Korea with $21.15 million on 1,887 screens over the weekend for a total opening of $26.83 million.
