This week, the limited release report is practically the Video on Demand report, as nearly all limited releases are also playing on Video on Demand. The rest are all documentaries, which rarely earn any measure of mainstream success. Worse still, most of the non-documentaries are earning bad reviews, so their box office chances are even worse. Faults is probably the film with the best chance at finding an audience in theaters, but that's not saying much. These Final Hours is also earning great reviews, but it doesn't have the star power that Faults has. Of the documentaries, both An Honest Liar and Merchants of Doubt are worth checking out.

For the past couple of seasons of True Blood, there have been troubling signs. The show was clearly off its peak in terms of quality and this was adversely affecting its ratings as well. It was still a good show, but no longer a great show. Season Six saw the show earn its weakest ratings since season one, which was before it was discovered by most people. Is this also a sign that these troubling signs finally broke and True Blood is now just a shadow of what it once was?

Dario Argento is a master of the horror genre. In fact, he helped change the genre and his influence is still felt today. However, it has been nearly 20 years since a film of his has earned overall positive reviews, and nearly 30 years since his last great movie. Will Argento's Dracula be the film that turns his recent streak around? Or is it more of the same weak releases he's put out in the past two decades?

This list is a little short and a little late, because WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE INTERNET? The past three days, the internet has been slow as hell. There are a number of interesting releases coming out this week, several of them have screeners that are on their way. Unfortunately, only one screener did arrive on time. Fortunately, it was The Little Mermaid on Blu-ray Combo Pack and it, or the 3D Combo Pack, are worthy of Pick of the Week.
