Synopsis

Gary and Ell expect a straightforward hookup after meeting online — instead, they get a suspicious motel clerk, a stolen car, a backpack full of cash, and a body. Too compromised to call police, the two decide to handle it themselves. But the body won’t stay dead, and a cryptic plea sends them chasing a trail of blackmail, betrayal, and lost love before the night’s true villain is revealed. Equal parts dark comedy and crime thriller, it’s the worst and best first date imaginable.
