For the second weekend in a row, The Queen
top the per theatre charts with an average of $36,543, down just over 10%. This is even more impressive since the movie saw its theatre count climb from 3 to 11. Little Children
came in next after earning nearly $100,000 in 5 theatres for an average of $19,591 while Shortbus
earned just over $100,000 in 6 theatres for an average of $17,985. The former film has a much better shot at earning some mainstream success as the latter is just too much for the average moviegoer.
