DVD and Blu-ray Releases for November 30th, 2010

November 29th, 2010

This is the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which means it is the day after Cyber Monday and the end of the busiest gift buying weekend of the year. So it should come as no surprise that there's a bit of a lull when it comes to DVD / Blu-ray releases. In fact, the biggest selling film of the week doesn't come out till Saturday. There are still more than a few releases that are worth checking out, including this week's Pick of the Week, Fantasia / Fantasia 2000 on Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack. However, there is no real depth to this week's list and the drop from top tier to second tier is fast and steep. More...

Featured TV on DVD Review: Disney Documentary Triple-Shot

November 29th, 2010

May 27th, 2009

The top two films on the overall chart were also the top two films on the per theater chart with Night at the Museum 2 earning an average of $13,226 while Terminator Salvation pulled in $12,056. Easy Virtue got off to a faster-than-expected start with an average $11,044, and this suggests some ability to expand. More...

May 24th, 2009

Experiencing Limited Releases

May 22nd, 2009

Another week that's not exactly busy when it comes to limited releases. There is a lot of variety, on the other hand, with a documentary, a costume drama, a foreign language flick, and a film starring a real-life porn star making her mainstream movie debut. Should be something for nearly everyone. More...
