Synopsis
In southern Russia, in a city that has become a kind of ghetto for criminals of various ethnicities, two 10-year-old boys, Kolima and Gagarin, grow up together, best friends. Their education is rather peculiar: theft, robbery, and the use of weapons. Their clan has precise rules, a sort of code of honor, sometimes even shared, that must not be broken under any circumstances. But time passes, the two boys grow up while the world around them changes radically… And when you’re twenty and the world opens up before you, you want to take it. And when you’re twenty, respecting the rules isn’t exactly your first thought. But, as Grandpa Kuzja, the head of the Siberian criminal clan, says: “It’s foolish to want too much. A man can’t possess more than his heart can love!”
