Synopsis
An old cable car connects a village in the Georgian mountains with a small town in the valley. When the old conductor dies, his daughter Iva returns and takes over. She meets Nino, who has been working there for some time and teaches her the tricks of the cable car. Day in and day out, when Iva’s gondola goes up, Nino’s goes down, and then vice versa. Every half hour, the two see each other halfway down the line. Friendly greetings gradually turn into teasing. And teasing turns into flirting. Iva and Nino transform their gondolas into crazy flying objects to impress each other, much to the annoyance of their bitter and jealous boss. That night, when Iva and Nino are on a romantic date in the gondola, he is determined to put an end to their antics at any cost. But he hasn’t reckoned with the two lovers — and so everything turns out differently than expected…
