Synopsis

Hundreds of deaths. Zero oversight. In the early 2000s, brothers Tom and Rick Smith revolutionized policing by marketing the Taser to law enforcement agencies. This supposedly safe alternative to handguns was supposed to curb the use of deadly force—so why have over 500 people died from Taser-related injuries since? At a time when questions about police methods are at the forefront of the national dialogue, Killing Them Safely brings together startling archival footage and eye-opening interviews with experts on both sides of the debate to shed much-needed light on an urgent issue.

BabyMetal

There are a huge number of new releases on Amazon this week. Unfortunately, they go from Oscar contenders to stuff that would be filler on a slow week really, really quickly, so I will be skipping over most of them. Almost half of the releases on this week's list are contenders for Pick of the Week, so it is really hard to narrow that list. In the end, I couldn't chose between any of the movies / TV shows, so I went BabyMetal Metal Resistance, which comes out on CD on Friday. More...

The Danish Girl

Thanksgiving Weekend is not a good time to release a limited release. There are too many other distractions for moviegoers to deal with. This year is no different. If we limited the films to only those with ten reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, there would only be two films on this week's list. One of them is The Danish Girl, which was earning some Awards Season buzz. Its reviews are good, but not Awards Season good. More...
