Synopsis
In the autumn of 1941, fifteen kilometers west of Maloyaroslavts on the Warsaw Highway, three and a half thousand cadets and teachers of the Podolsk Infantry and Artillery Schools, along with regular parts of the 43rd Army, blocked Hitler's tank columns from the way to Moscow. They paid the ultimate price in those battles, voluntarily giving their lives in the fight against the nazis. Most of the cadets died defending their positions from a numerically superior, professional, perfectly armed army that conquered half of Europe. The fascists had already prepared uniforms and awards for the parade in Moscow, where they hoped to enter in a few days. But their victory march was stopped at the Ilyinsky border, and the Soviet command was able to tighten the reserves and fail Hitler's plan of blitzkrieg. Such a mass feat of youth, which was demonstrated by Podolski cadets at the Ilyinsky border, the world military history does not know.
