Synopsis

Los Reyes is the oldest skate park in Santiago and it brings together teenagers from very different social and cultural backgrounds. Chola is young and vigorous and spends her days playing with balls that she throws to the pools in which skaters ride. Football is an old dog, but beautiful and energetic, that obsessively accompanies Chola in this game. The human world appears in stories of adolescents in transit to adulthood. We listen to their voices and see fragments of their bodies as part of the environment that surrounds the world of dogs. As Football grows old and Chola is left alone, the juvenile stories confront us with the rawness of a youth that does not find a place in our society.

VOD Releases: We Are All Counting on Mr. Jones

July 1st, 2020

Mr. Jones

This week’s list of VOD releases is dominated by biopics and documentaries. This includes some of the bigger releases as well, led by Mr. Jones. There are also a couple of TV shows hitting VOD that are worth checking out: Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Season Seven and Penny Dreadful: City of Angels: Season One. More...

Limited and VOD Releases: My Kingdom for a Turtle

August 16th, 2019

Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles

There are quite a few limited releases on this week’s list earning strong enough reviews to give them a chance at doing well in theaters. Of these, Kingdom and Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles are the two I’m most interested in, but I don’t think they are destined to find box office success. Unfortunately, I don’t think any of the films on this week’s list will find box office success. More...
