The story of Sami Malik, a young Indian who travels to America to become an engineer in order to impress his childhood crush and live up to the legacy of his father-a legendary tiger hunter back home. When Sami’s job falls through, he takes a low-end job and joins with a gang of oddball friends in hopes of convincing his childhood sweetheart that he’s far more successful than he truly is…or perhaps ever could be.

Battle of the Sexes was playing in 21 theaters and earned an average of $24,545. It too has room to expand. It might even expand enough to get some Awards Season buzz. Unrest just managed a spot in the $10,000 club with $10,607 in one theater. That’s great for a documentary. More...

Limited and VOD Releases: Battle of the Early Award Season Contenders

September 22nd, 2017
