Synopsis

A woman takes on her dead brother’s identity in order to fight and survive in the ranks during the U.S. Civil War. With the help of the Cherokee Indians in the mountains who see this person as a two-spirit, ‘Henry’ reunites with a woman, Virginia, and marries her to help her save her farm. They keep each others secret and they fall deeply in love. Their story becomes legend passed down to generations.
