Synopsis

The powerful story of a desert-based ice hockey team that, in its very first year of existence, helps heal and unify its home city after a heartrending tragedy. The story opens with the creation of the Las Vegas Golden Knights — who defy the odds to make their home in the Mojave Desert as a National Hockey League expansion team. The team is enjoying pre-season success when Las Vegas experiences the worst mass shooting in U. S. history. On October 1, 2017 — just days before the Golden Knights’ home opener — 58 people are killed and nearly 500 others are wounded at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival. In the face of this devastating loss, the Golden Knights — the only professional team in the city — makes it their mission to help unify and heal the community.
