Synopsis

Kumbhakarna in Nepal is the holiest mountain in the Sherpa. That is why it is a taboo break when Sherpa Nada and his wife Jomdoe take part in a Himalayan expedition from Europe, the aim of which is the summit of Kumbhakarna — but the couple has a good reason: they need the money to finance their son's schooling, so that he gets a better future and is spared the inhumane work as a burden bearer. Over the infamous northern flank of the mountain, also known as “Wall Of Shadows”, the Europeans want to climb the 7,700 meter high mountain. The route is considered one of the biggest challenges of alpine climbing. In Nada, the world-class mountaineers are accompanied by one of the most experienced and experienced high-carrier regions. However, the mountaineers are not interested in the needs of the indigenous peoples of Nepal. For them, the tour is all about fame and recognition.
