Way back in 16th place was The Protector with $2.23 million, but while that was a weak start, it was much stronger on the sales chart. The only other new release to chart this week was the direct-to-DVD release, Undisputed II: Last Man Standing with $1.31 million for a 35th place debut.

Gridiron Gang led the way on the sales chart ahead of fellow new releases Employee of the Month and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Fourth place went to The Protector as the film opened in a much stronger position on the sales chart than on the rental chart; chalk this one up to the Fanboy Effect. The only holdover in the top five was The Illusionist in fifth place.

The next new release was That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana in 8th place; this is an excellent debut for TV on DVD, even if you consider this a TV movie and not a mixed episode set. Finally there was Undisputed II: Last Man Standing in 15th place.
