New releases dominated the sales chart taking the top two places and four of the top five. This includes Step Brothers and Wanted, which finished neck and neck in first and second places respectively. Hancock was the only holdover in the top five, and it was not that far behind the top two. The number one film on the sales chart, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, opened in fourth place, while X-Files - I Want to Believe rounded out the top five.

The only other new release to chart was The Longshots, as that film opened in a respectable 11th place.
