Synopsis

Haunted by bizarre dreams about Goth rocker Trey Sylvania, and experiencing a growing lust for blood, Dylan, a not-so-average teenager finds himself transforming into a vampire! It all started when he was bitten by a voracious fanged exchange student, and it's a process he is desperate to stop - but how? His demented dentist can’t do anything about Dylan's aching teeth and emerging fangs, and the anti-bloodsucking pills he gets from his para-psychologist just give him a rash. Dylan is terrified and he doesn't know what to do - especially about his beautiful girlfriend Sara.

DVD and Blu-ray Releases for July 10th, 2012

July 9th, 2012

Like last week, it's another really slow week on the home market. Unlike last week, there is at least one first run release coming out. American Reunion should lead the way in terms of sales, but given its reviews and its box office struggles, it won't be a major player. As for the best new release, there are a few interesting titles, like Dark Shadows: The Complete Original Series (Deluxe Edition). But in the end I went with Adventure Time: Complete First Season is the release I'm most looking forward to seeing. (The screener is late, but I will get to the review ASAP after it arrives.) Per Theater Chart: Bullying is No Game

April 4th, 2012

The ratings controversy didn't hurt Bully, which topped the per theater chart with an average of $23,294 in five theaters. It is always difficult for a documentary to expand significantly, but this start will certainly help. The overall box office leader, The Hunger Games, was next with an average of $14,153 in more than 4,000 theaters. More...

Limited Releases Fighting Mad

March 30th, 2012

There are a number of films opening in limited release this week, including a few documentaries. The biggest of these is Bully, which earned a boost in its publicity thanks to a ratings fight with the MPAA. The Island President is another documentary worth checking out. Meanwhile, Goon makes its theatrical debut in the States and it deserves to find an audience south of the border. More...
