Synopsis

The young Soheil, son of Jewish immigrants, moves with his family to Berlin-Wedding. In the rough problem area, the youngster finds it difficult to find friends and connections. Rather, he quickly senses what it means to live as a Jew in a neighborhood inhabited by many Muslims. When he gets into a fight with a clique of young Arabs because of his religion, Soheil makes a decision: he wants to keep his family background, his origin and his faith secret. In this way, he succeeds in becoming a member of an Arab youth gang. One day he even falls in love with a classmate whose family is from Turkey. Otherwise, his secret repeatedly plunges him into moral discord. But it is only when his game of hide-and-seek threatens to fly that Soheil realizes the dangerous situation he has maneuvered himself into.
