The early year doldrums continue on the home market front. Even though there are plenty of releases, including eight spotlight reviews, there are none that really jump out as Contenders for DVD Pick of the Week. Family Guy - Blue Harvest Special Edition could be called the best of a weak bunch, but odds are everything the disc will be included in a future release that will be a lot more competitively priced. The Savages easily won the race on the per theater chart, scoring $150,000 in 4 theaters for an average of $37,965, and that's with a Wednesday opening.
