An ordinary woman must summon extraordinary courage to survive a nightmare odyssey in this harrowing survival thriller. Sawyer is an ambitious, overachieving college senior with a seemingly bright future. While on her way to a job interview, a wrong turn leaves her stranded deep in the frozen Kentucky woods. Suddenly, the young woman with everything to live for finds herself facing her own mortality as she's punished by the elements and pursued by a band of ruthless outlaws. With nowhere left to run, she is forced into an uneasy alliance with Lowell, an enigmatic loner with shadowy intentions. A Silent Voice

Bumblebee is the last of the major winter release to hit the home market and with that we enter the summer doldrums. Fortunately, it is a great movie, even if it can’t live up to its Tomatometer Score, but it is still worth picking up and a contender for Pick of the Week. The only other contender is A Silent Voice on Blu-ray. It wasn’t a really close contest and A Silent Voice truly earns that honor. More...

Communion

It is a bad weekend to release a wide release and an even worse weekend to release a limited release. There are very few limited releases coming out this week and almost none that have a real shot at becoming hits at the box office. That’s actually being optimistic, as Communion might have the best box office potential. Rust Creek is more commercial, but it is playing on Video on Demand. More...
