DVD Rentals - Crystal is Golden

October 28th, 2008

There were fewer new releases that were able to reach the top 30 on the rental chart this week, but the same film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was able to come out on top. Next up was The Happening and Iron Man, both with just over half the revenue generated by Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. You Don't Mess With the Zohan also did well with just under half finishing mere percentage points out of second place. Forgetting Sarah Marshall rounded out the top five, while War, Inc. just missed finishing in the top five and it likely generated more in rentals during its first week of release than it made theatrically.

The only other new releases to chart were Mongol in 17th place and Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie in 26th.
