New releases were just as spread out on the rental chart as they were on the sales chart, including taking the top two spots with Max Payne generating about 25% more revenue than Saw V. The rest of the top five were all holdovers with Pineapple Express, Both My Best Friend's Girl, and Righteous Kill all finishing within mere percentage points of each other.

Other new releases to chart include The Express in eighth place, which was better than it performed on the sales chart. Meanwhile, the opposite was true for Igor (11th place) and City of Ember (15th place). The final new release to chart was Henry Poole Is Here in 29th place.
