DVD Releases for August 12, 2008

August 11th, 2008

Another week, another list of lackluster first-run releases. In fact, the highest grossing first-run release of the week managed less than $10 million at the box office. There was only one contender for DVD Pick of the Week, and that was Brand Upon the Brain! - Criterion Collection. However, even that might be a little too out there for most people. More...

February 13th, 2008

Asterix At The Olympic Games remained on top of the charts with $24.52 million on 3925 screens in 25 markets for a total of $72.49 million after just two weeks. The film opened in first place in Spain with $2.75 million on 385 screens while it had to settle for second place in Italy with $1.86 million on 357 screens. Meanwhile it was down just 22% in Germany adding $2.29 million on 600 screens for a total of $6.76 million.
