The fifth and final volume of the Perry Mason Movie Collection comes out this week. The original TV show is still widely considered a classic of the genre and was so beloved that nearly two decades after the original show ended, CBS began airing a series of TV movies. Over the next decade, 30 such films were made. Did the high quality last till the end of the franchise? Or did it run out of steam?

I love movies and TV shows about conmen, and White Collar won me over the very first season. Also, I thought it got even better the second and third seasons. Has the show finally peaked? Or can it get even better?

Leverage's ended its run after five years, so it is a bittersweet time for fans. Sure, they get to complete their DVD collection of the show, but they also know there will be no more episodes in the future. Did the show at least go out on a high note? Do we get a satisfactory ending? Or does it just sort of fade away?

Matlock ends its run on the home market this week with Season Nine. As I've mentioned in previous reviews, I consider seasons four through seven to be the peak for this show's nine-year run. The last two seasons I reviewed showed signs of decline, but can the final season turn things around? If not, does it slip so far as to not be worth picking up?
