Synopsis
African-American Mac McGhee moves into an exclusively white neighborhood in the 1940s along with his wife, Minnie, and their two sons. Their next-door neighbor, Anna Sipes, welcomes them, and the women become good friends. But the rest of the neighbors, including Anna’s husband, Benjamin, aren’t so happy living near a black family, and band together to have the McGhees removed.
