IMAX - Legend Not Alone on IMAX

December 19th, 2007

I Am Legend became the latest hit on IMAX screens worldwide as it pulled in $3.2 million on 77 screens domestically and $3.4 million including 6 international screens. This is not record-breaking territory, but a strong start nonetheless.

Also of note, Dreamworks signed a four-picture deal, including three that will be coming out in IMAX 3-D. The first of these films, Kung Fu Panda, is the only film that won't be enhanced with the extra dimension, but Monsters vs. Aliens, How to Train Your Dragon, and Shrek Goes Forth all will be.
