Synopsis

Since the separation from his ex-wife Mira, Ben is no longer his usual self. While their children Oskar and Erna live with their mother, Ben sits alone in his semi-detached house and loses himself in melancholy. When the pregnant Mira unexpectedly has to go to the hospital, the situation changes: Ben’s children temporarily move back in with him and fill the deserted house with new life. And Ben starts to hope that eventually things will change for the better. He faces a particular challenge when his child Oskar declares not to be a boy but a girl, henceforth wears a dress and calls herself Lili. After the initial shock, Ben stands up for Lili, seeing the change as an opportunity to strengthen and deepen his relationship with his children. For the small family, an eventful journey begins, which turns out to be a new beginning in more ways than one.
