Synopsis
In August 1944. British intelligence finds out that the United States Eighth Air Force may be flying into a fatal trap as it prepares to undertake an assault on Germany. As time is running out, a daring pilot named Edward Barnes is called in for a last-minute mission. In “Operation Extreme Jeopardy,” he is supposed to photograph the defensive sites in Berlin while flying a lone observation plane without weapons. This brave endeavor is meant to avert the loss of roughly 1,200 US pilots’ lives.
