Theater Counts

June 23, 2005

Batman Begins remains the widest-released movie in the US this weekend, swooping back to 3,858 theaters. Herbie: Fully Loaded is the widest new release, starting out in 3,521 theaters. Disney will be hoping it can put a very weak opening day behind it. Bewitched also opens very wide, in 3,174 theaters, and will be hoping for a top 2 finish. George A. Romero's Land of the Dead debuts in a more modest 2,249 theaters, but is expected to make a strong start in its core demographic.
