Thursday Night Previews: Smallfoot Towers over Abominable

Abominable opened with just $650,000 during its previews on Thursday, which is significantly lower than the $850,000 Smallfoot opened with this time last year. Both films have nearly identical reviews, so they will likely have nearly identical legs, which is bad news for Abominable, as it means it will only make between $17 million and $18 million. This is well below expectations, but not a disaster.
