Featured Blu-ray review - Rocky - The Heavyweight Collection

Rocky: The Undisputed Collection came out nearly five years ago and I loved it. Now a new box set is coming out. However, is it any different than before? Or is it a simple cash grab? More...

Contest: Between a Rocky and a Hard Place

February 6th, 2014

Next weekend is Valentine's Day / Presidents Day long weekend and there are four wide releases hoping to take advantage. Of those four, only two have a shot at first place, RoboCop and About Last Night. RoboCop is opening on Wednesday, so that leaves About Last Night as the clear choice for the target film for this week's box office prediction contest. Entries must be received by 10 a.m., Pacific Time on Friday to be eligible, so don't delay! More...

I tried to narrow the list of contenders down to one, but I couldn't do it. In the end I went with Leverage: Season Three on DVD and True Grit on Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack as co-winners of the Pick of the Week. More...

Featured Blu-ray review: Rocky - Digibook

June 1st, 2011

2011 is the 35th anniversary for Rocky, which is still widely considered one of the best boxing movies of all time, if not the best. So it's a great time to release a special edition Blu-ray? Right? Not exactly. More...
