Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is easily the biggest release of the week, but it is not the best. Pick of the Week contenders include Galaxy Quest and Good Omens, as well as Alice, Sweet Alice, which arrived late. I’m going with Good Omens, but all three are must haves.

The Art of Racing in the Rain - Reviews - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray
There were too many movies where we heard the thoughts of dogs and audiences grew tired of them. The overall quality of these films didn’t help. There are not a ton of extras, but if you like this genre, then it is worth checking out.

Galaxy Quest: 20th Anniversary Steelbook - Reviews - Buy from Amazon: Blu-ray
This is one of my favorite films of all time and I own it on DVD and Blu-ray already. I’m tempted to buy the 20th Anniversary Edition as well. There doesn’t appear to be a lot of new extras, but the movie is so good that is could still be worth the upgrade for a lot of people.

Good Omens - Reviews - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray
This mini-series is based on one of my favorite books of all time, but I was worried about this series, because I feared it wouldn’t live up to the book. Fortunately, it does. I’m not sure about its extras, as the screener hasn’t arrived yet. I’m really looking forward to it and with audio commentary tracks on each episode and more, there are more than enough extras to be a Pick of the Week contender.

The Kitchen - Reviews - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray
This movie has a great cast, but the movie is terrible. Well, maybe terrible is too strong a term, but it fails to capture what is interesting about the story and doesn’t use its cast very well. The only extras are a couple of featurettes and some deleted scenes. That’s not a lot, but the film bombed in theaters, so the lack of substantial extras is not a surprise.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - Reviews - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray Combo Pack, or 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack
A movie based on a series of horror short stories aimed at kids, but made for adults. The reviews were better than most horror movies earn and it was a solid midlevel hit in theaters. Extras include six featurettes, which is enough to be worth picking up, but it is not a Pick of the Week contender.

Yellowstone: Season Two - Reviews - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray
According to Amazon, this is the best selling release on this week’s list. I find that hard to believe. The reviews are mixed. I know season two has 100% positive reviews, but they went from 44 reviews for season one to only 7 reviews for season two, which means even most critics who gave the show a positive review the first season didn’t bother to review it for season two. There are enough extras and if you like the show, it is worth picking up, but there’s no way it really is outselling Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

The Peanut Butter Falcon is the best secondary VOD release on this week’s list. However, the screener for Dora and the Lost City of Gold has already shown up, so I’m excited to watch that for the review.
