DEG Watched At Home Chart: Home Market is Working for the Tax Man

August 13, 2020

The Tax Collector

The Tax Collector pulled off a double-win last week by earning first place on the weekend box office chart and the DEG Watched at Home chart. Hopefully this will never happen again, because the pandemic will not last long enough for another film to get the chance.

Trolls World Tour was finally knocked out of first place, but I think it is safe to assume Universal isn’t terribly upset by this result, as the film has easily been the most successful movie during the pandemic. The most surprising result of the week could be Yellowstone, which had its three seasons split up for the first time. season one landed in third place, followed by You Should Have Left. Season three and season two of Yellowstone earned fifth and sixth places respectively.

If we were to compress Yellowstone into one entry, then The Outpost would have rounded out the top five instead.

There were no other true new entries on the chart; however, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom did land on the chart for the first time, taking 18th place.
